Jan Stinchcomb was born in San Francisco. She has a doctorate in Comparative Literature and has taught at the University of Oregon, Austin Community College and the University of Texas Extension Program. Currently living in Santa Monica, she is a story editor for Paper Darts. She has appeared in The Best Small Fictions 2018 and has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize, the Best of the Net and the Wigleaf Top 50 Longlist. THE KELPING is forthcoming in 2020 from Unnerving.
